What is the best part of your job?
Creating one-of-a-kind, custom, sales driven marketing plans for a variety of clients and then watching it all come to life. I relish in the challenge of researching and discovering the next great idea for each individual client based on their needs. It’s thrilling to be presented with a challenge and then provide a solution that not only meets the client’s expectations, but overwhelmingly surpasses it. The very best part of this job is when a client’s eyes light up after you’ve presented an exceptional idea … you can literally see the light bulb go off… That’s when I know I’ve done my job.
What’s the next great, BIG idea in marketing? Pushing marketing to the next level.
FACEBOOK! FACEBOOK! FACEBOOK! When the major banks and insurance companies started navigating people to their Facebook pages instead of their websites for more information… I knew the shift had been made. If you’re not investing in Facebook – you don’t exist. I think that companies will begin (if they haven’t already) to conduct e-commerce through Facebook. We may even see people delete their websites and invest solely in their Facebook pages.
Was there life before L&P?
HMM… there may have been a dream of becoming a Hollywood actress at one point!? A girls gotta dream, right? Well, that is until she meets Renee Lewis, that is. After meeting Renee, my life really has become Lewis & Partners. I love what I do and the people and clients I work with.
Last 3 stamps on your passport?
Italy, Brazil and Spain. My goal for my 1 year wedding anniversary is to go to Africa. I’m addicted to traveling the world and learning as much as I can about different cultures. I believe strongly that traveling helps me relate to and understand the world better.
Staff Bio
Before joining Lewis & Partners in 2006, Thomas gained extensive experience in a variety of marketing positions in Austin, London, and Los Angeles. Thomas transitioned into marketing agency account management at Lewis & Partners where she grew from handling local accounts to managing regional, national and international accounts.
At Lewis & Partners, Thomas is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a diverse clientele, analyzing their target markets and proposing results-driven marketing recommendations to management. Thomas is responsible for developing marketing strategy and branding campaigns for specific accounts. She leads and manages account service for Uptown Park Shopping Center and other commercial real estate, mixed-use and resort developments.
Thomas’ strength lies in her ability to conceptualize and implement custom online marketing programs utilizing multi-media platforms including, websites, social media, blogs, and paid advertising to maximize reach, frequency and results for her clients.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin. She serves on the Retail Advisory Committee for the Victory Houston Holiday Shopping Card (a volunteer fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society). She also serves on the YTAC (Young Texans Against Cancer) Development Committee (a young professional organization established to raise money for cancer organizations) and is a member of the Houston Zoo Ambassadors Program, Bo’s Place, and the Houston Alumni Association of Pi Beta Phi. Thomas is married and enjoys long walks with her 2-year old dog, Jack, a rescue dog from Dakota Rescue.
