Are your events bringing you a return with the right target market?
It is, and always will be, people. Trends aside, the single most important factor in the success of a campaign is an investment of brain power, not dollars. As with flying, the auto-pilot setting can hold a navigation course, but it can’t land the plane.
The symbiotic relationship with clients. I truly enjoy immersing myself in information and research, extracting each client’s unique story, and empowering them to effectively communicate that story to their advantage.
On a day to day basis, we're problem solvers. In the grand scheme, we're storytellers.
Passionate clients and thoughtful design.
A former colleague once said, "Your brain is an index of trivia and song lyrics."
Rutledge’s nine years of diverse corporate experience spans marketing, advertising, public relations, and runs the gamut from quick service restaurants to corporate America. Out of the gate, she implemented regional promotions for national franchises of YUM! Brands, after which she explored a career in legal marketing. Working for both boutique and national firms with varying areas of practice, Rutledge drafted business development strategies, designed marketing materials, created public relations and advertising programs, and planned a host of client events. Her next stop was managing the account service, traffic, and business development for an interactive advertising agency. She learned the virtue of good storytelling, studied the ins and outs of a variety of interactive content management systems, and preached the power of analytics to clients. Having worked on both the client and the agency side of the table, Rutledge asks the right questions, brings a balanced perspective to each project, and gives structure to the creative process.
Rutledge holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She was formerly a Board Member of Genesis Women's Shelter Young Leaders in Dallas, an active member of the Dallas Area Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association, and member of Slipper Club, an organization dedicated to serving women, serving the community, and making a difference.
Rutledge adores culinary gadgets, historical fiction, two brilliantly happy yellow labs, and – above all – her supportive husband.
